If you really want to wheel it and clear a 12.5 wide tire you will want 6.5" and some trimming, or 8.5" if you don't want to cut. Iceland Off Road also has cut out flares if you want to keep the COG down that will allow a 33 with 3 inches or so, 35's with 4" and I did 37's on 6.5". There is a ton of cutting involved, and a little welding, but they are bad ass.
