Hey guys, I have a 96 Cherokee with the Chrysler 8.25 rear axle. I read some where that up to a certain date the axle shafts had a 27 spline and after that date had a 29 spline. Does anybody know that manufacture date? Or does anybody know of a different way to tell besides pulling the axles and counting? Thanks in advance

Should be 27 spline.

98+ is when they went to 29 spline on the 8.25

Yea should be 27. Only way to know for sure is pull them.
