How you going to use it? Wth that much lift it sounds like you will wheel it seriously. If so a SAS would be your best bet. But that would run $$$. Check the All Pro website to start and search Pirate.
You can run 33's/285's with a 2.5-3" Lift which doesnt require much work at all. Some stock front FJ80 coils for the BACK of your runner and some REAR FJ 80 stock shocks to match work great. Up front just run some RevTek spacers. Any more height than that and you will end up wearing out steering components on that vehicle faster than you can replace them. If you want more performance and tunability out of the front end just get some Bilstein or SAW Coilovers for the front and crank em up. And with the bigger wheel and tire combo I'd put 231mm Tundra brakes on the front too. Keep you from warping the damnit out of the already undersized 4Runner stock rotors.
Ok cool, StretchASU's advice is good. IFs with too much angle, lift and large tires will run you through CV joints fast. They where built for about 31" tires.
The guy from Frontier 4x4 I think just runs a spacer lift and 37's on his. And he wheels the piss out of it, so it should hold up on the road. Just depends on how much trimming you wanna do.
