We're putting a 2" body lift on my son's FS Chevy 1500 4x4. The directions SUCK! I cannot get the lower fan shroud back in at all. For now Im moving on to the next step and try to get this thing out of my shop.
Has anyone done the body lift to this truck? If so what did you do to get the shroud back in?
Also, if I DON"T put the shroud back in, how will it cool?
Thanks

I'd take the fan off and go in from the top, if that doesn't work I'd just wouldst run it.

RQ,
I think if the lower shroud's not installed it just won't cool as well as it did before.
I've got 2 electric fans if you want to look at either one as an option...let me know.

I'd give you a club discount and it would free up some hp for D's right foot!
Both are in my thread here:

We got it back together yesterday, shroud and all. It's hard to think that a 2" body lift would take 36 man hours to install! Thanks for the input and offers.
Rummage, I thought about going electric but now that it's back together we are sticking with it just like it is!

and everybody still looks at me strange when I price the labor for one of those higher than most suspension lifts:shaking:

I'm sure you do. Even if you've done it a few times, there is no escaping the time it takes to do it. Send them my way next time someone balks at your price, I'll set them straight! lol
