97 Ford Explorer 4.0 ADVICE!
I just bought a 97 ford explorer 4x4 sport with a 4.0 motor. The motor has a slight rattle. I think it is the timing chain. Don't really want to but a lot of money into to fix as I only bought it for the 8.8. When I picked it up though it looked almost brand new with no dents or scratches. Everything on it is power and also works. Just wanted some advice to if it would be worth doing anything with. I have changed the oil and put a bottle of Lucas in it. I am also going to buy a new rear timing chain tensioner and change that. Any advice would be appreciated.
