'97 Grand Cherokee: info requested...

This morning from a good friend of mine...

I bought my grandson a 97 Grand Cherokee and the drivers door window regulator has broken a plastic clip that slides in the shash on the bottom of the glass. I have contacted two dealers that tell me I have to purchase the complete regulator assy. The plastic slide is not available through Chrysler.
Do you know of anyone servicing such items. I have looked on some sites that provide clips and fasteners but haven't been able to locate what I need.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Dealer tech here.

The guides they are referring to are not available separately from Chrysler. We have to replace the whol eregulator when this happens...

The guides guide the "X" arms through the piece that actually mounts to the glass.

sounds like something to get from a salvage yard, and there are usually plenty of grand cherokee's there

I second that. door at pullapart aint but $40, id just try to find one the same color and replace the fawker.
