97 Tahoe "CLINK"

It happens mostly when I'm braking but don't come to a complete stop, and then gas it again. As soon as I hit the accelerator, there is a loud, prominant, CLINK. Especially happens when I'm turning. Any ideas? All u-joints seem to be solid.

Mine has been doing it for 6 years. Don't know WTF it is but it hasn't gotten worse in 6 yrs and 65,000 miles.

Could it be chain slop in the tcase? I wouldn't think it would do that in 2wd. My only other thought is something in the steering, cause it always does it when I coast down and then speed up in a turn. I would just like to fix it before it leaves me stranded. This is my DD.
