'97 WRANGLER 2.5 WON'T START

'97 WRANGLER 2.5 STARTER WILL NOT ENGAGE . IHAVE CHECKED THE STARTER AND CLUTCH SWITCH AS WELL AS THE RELAY UNDER THE HOOD. ANY IDEAS WOULD BE HELPFULL

You checked the starter? How/what did you check?

other things to do/check:
- TURN CAPS LOCK OFF Its sorta like yelling.

12v to the solenoid@starter when cranking?
12v to the starter relay?
12v on the starter motor when cranking (output of starter solenoid)

What happens when you manually apply 12v to the starter solenoid to crank it over? (make sure your in Neutral)

I jumped power to small wire to solenoid, I also was able to jump 12 volts to relay side of clutch safety switch to engage starter by the way I have already replaced the ignition switch

Just checking to make sure you checked your cables, battery terminals, and grounds. I know a guy who swapped a starter thinking it was bad. With new starter still the same issue, then he located a bad battery terminal.... and had two good starters

Found problem, previous owner had hidden switch under dash that connection worked loose. thanks for help
