I bought a new xj today with a ax15 and it's real hard to get to go in to first and second. What could be causing this and what could help fix it I'm planing to have the fluid changed but any other ideas from yall

sent with my 2 fat fingers from a tiny touch screen so please excuse any mispllenigs

I haven't noticed reverse being tough me and my buddy pulled the fill plug and grey milky looking fluid came pouring out I'm definitely going to give it a fresh fluid change today or tomorrow

I did the gear oil change today and it helped a lot now I just have to get back use to driving a manual since I haven't driven one in bout 5 years lol on a side note I now have a issue of when accelerating it dies out a couple times but comes right back I'm planing to do cap rotor button plugs and wires wed after work hopefully this will help

I put an ax15 unknown of the condition and after instal it was a mess. I think some of the syncros are pretty worn out but the shifting was a mess. I rebuilt the shifter with all new bushings and gaskets and that made a big difference. On top of that I put in Redline MT90 gear oil in and that made everything much better. However I think I will need to replace the snycros in the future being my DD :handed:
