So, I have been out of the game for a little bit. I used to do stuff to my jeep all the time, but with working, life, being married, and other responsibilities, I just haven't had the time to keep up with my Jeep like I know I should.

So here it is.

I have noticed that I have some stuff in the front end that is going on.
IRO Long Arm Kit (installed 3-4 years ago)
IRO Tie Rod with TRE (installed 3-4 years ago)
Bilstein 5100 shocks (Installed 3-4 years ago)
new upgraded trac bar (installed 3-4 years ago)

So, I have noticed some clunking when I turn the steering wheel (I can feel it in the steering wheel itself) and I can feel it almost catching in a certain spot when turning.

There is also some sort of popping whenever I turn from going straight. Almost sounds like a wallowed out trac bar mount or something,

Also to, whenever I am at a dead stop and I hit the gas, there is a clunking where it feel like something is having to move into place before it will go... u joint in the rear DS? Front DS is pulled atm.

I am to the point where I want a new car, but I'd like to hang on to this XJ for the time being to continue to save money.

Can anyone guide me as to what these things could possibly be? I am going to try and tighten some stuff down in the morning just to see.

If a bolt has loosened on any of the suspension components enough to cause a clunking noise it should show by leaving a small rub mark on the surrounding metal. Get under it and man handle all the links, steering, track bar and fell for movement. Use a small pry bar around the bushings to look for wear. I have used IRO and I like them but the rubber bushings they use are just factory equivalents. They will wear out especially with larger tires in the mix. Also if the crossmember is only bolted in check that for being loose too.
