I parked my zj this afternoon, later I went to take off in it and it would not start. It will turn over and it has power to everything light, windows, seats, a/c, etc. But when i turn the switch forward the gas gauge, oil pressure and voltmeter do not move. I have checked every fuse and relay, no luck so far. My next move was to check the fuel pump, does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks

There is a switch in the column that may be bad, sorry I forget the name of it. When you insert the key it actuates the switch. Could be the coil(s), crank position sensor (CPS) or several other computer related items. If the right signals are not detected by the computer it will not fire. My bet would be on the CPS, I just had that happen to one of my Jeeps recently. If you have a Haynes manual, it will give you some trouble shooting ideas and tests.

Good advice, but also do not be fooled by other accessories coming on, lots of time a bad battery will still light up the headlights and other things.
I'd usually agree but he stated it was turning over. If it can crank the motor it should have enough power to start it.

This happened to my 96 zj it turned out to be a 20a fuse i checked em once and did'nt see it went back a week later and checked again found it, replaced it and fired right up!!! good luck!

I agree 100% Crank position sensor. I had a jeep cherokee do the same thing. Put a new sensor on it and it fired right up!
