My daily 98 Corolla probably burns a quart of oil between fill ups. Internet says pretty common for these engines to have significant carbon buildup and stuck oil rings, and that a piston soak with some Berryman B12 Chemtool is the miracle cure. Should I just buy a case of oil and top it off with every tank, or is it worth a shot to see if its stuck rings?

Let me drive it for a week.

I would have laughed in anyone’s face for that shit, actually did to a customer. She talked me into doing it to her daughter’s Hyundai. Was using a quart every couple weeks. It fixed it. I did that exact brand as well. Pulled plugs, 1/4 bottle in each cylinder waited 24 hours. Ran it then changed the oil. Never would have thought it would work.
