So today the Jeep wouldnt start up, no click, nothing. We were going to push it out of the parking spot to jump it, and I tried to start it again, and it started right up..go figure.

Went to boonewheeler's place, Jeep didnt start up right away there either, same deal. Went to Advanced Auto to get the whole system tested, everything came out fine...

Drove out somewhere a few minutes ago...started fine, but now one headlight doesnt work unless Im set on high beams...

any suggestions as to whats going on?

Ever have gauge problems???? if so.. take out the gauge cluster check/clean contacts and replace.. typical issue

actually yeah I do with the Tach. I have to smack the gauge counsel to get the tach to work sometimes. I think its a common TJ problem with the fold down window and water leaking in..

As for the battery terminals...My dad mentioned that, and one is pretty bad off...I think thats the main starting problem..

and for the light, I also think the low beam is out (no doubt about that). I will be replacing them with better lights probably monday.

MAy want to look at the batt cables themselves. My zj had starting isues once, and a cable 'looked' good, but had real bad corrosion inside of the insulation. Also, my volt gauge read ~14V more consistently at low RPM after replacing the cable

i'd check your grounds for all of those problems a lose ground could cause that.. A good starting point. And the gauge cluster is the same as mine. there is a problem with corrosion in the plug in the back of the cluster. Also the ground near the left speaker is what the cluster is grounded to
