98 XJ Driver Seat:

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement seat for my XJ. I've got the gangsta lean going on and I'm pretty sick of and I'm afraid it is going to break completely. I don't want to break the bank getting one either.

This. I fixed one for a buddy of mine. There was a cold weld at one of the joints, then several others slowly failed as the metal fatigued and tore. We welded it back up, and it was better than new.

bring a suitcase of money. I went there to find two seats for my friends pick up and the yard manager said his seats start at $75 each..........drove out of that yard pretty fast. Keep an eye open here and on craigslist.

Think it just depends on who you talk to while your there.

yikes...IIRC he told me $30, I haggeld to $25, quoted pull-a-part prices. maybe you had electric?...the one I grabbed was bare bones manual.

My abs hurt like hell after that from trying to hold myself upright while the truck kept trying to launch me into the back seat! Sucked, too. I had that power seat adjusted perfectly when we started!

I got a set of tan ones I used for mock up. dirty but free come get them. They had the same problem but I fixed it.
