99 2500 9.25 inner axle shaft slop?

curious if I need a master rebuild kit to cure the slop and clunk in the passenger side inner axle shaft? Seen ecgs has master rebuilds for $230 but is all that necessary? This is my dd/work truck so trying not to screw up the diff but had a few loud clunks this afternoon coming up the driveway...
 
Nobody ever had issues like this with ifs gm 9.25? Drives fine on highway just when pass side drops in pothole or or bumps its clunks! Both cv half shafts are new also and hubs
 
there are a slew of master rebuild kits on ebay for alot less, and quite a few offer timken as well.
 
I'll look into em may just swap out axles with ones from a big block 2500 if I can find a set!
