Have a 99 CTD 4x4 and have replaced the front rotors and front calipers/pads and pulls pretty bad to the right. The lines were bleed after the new calipers pretty well. I do not want to deal with a dealership yet and trying to get any possible suggestions to solve the probem.

Thanks Hutch

Was it doing this before the new calipers?

Make sure the caliper moves freely on the slider pins if it doesn't this could be causing the pads to drag.

You could have just got a bad caliper on the side that is pulling. Or you may have damaged the hose on that side. Always be very carefull not to kink the ruber hoses while working with them you can damage them on the inside while the outside looks fine. If the hose is bad it could be holding some pressure on the pads causing the pulling problem. I was working on a 69 mustang a few years ago and everytime I would press the brake pedel the rear brakes would lock up and not release untill I bleed the pressure off of them. Turned out the rear flex hose was bad on the inside (outside looked fine and hose was just a few years old) and would not let the pressure return to the master cylinder when I let off the pedel.

I'll replace the hose and see what happens. When on jack stands that side(pass) does not spin as freely as the drivers side. If that does not work I'll try another caliper.

Thanks

Hutch

It can also be the rear brakes being uneven, but in your case, it certainly sounds like the RF wheel
