99 grand cherokee factory alarm

My wifes 99 wj remote quit working now every time you open the door the alarm goes off. We tried to use the key on the drivers door but that didnt help. Anyone know how to fix this?

Try locking each door manually. I think what arms the alarm is locking the door using the power locks.
