99 powerstroke early or late??

My powerstroke has a build date of 5/99 is this late or early? Buying a tuner and need to know. Thanks!!!!

Pretty sure that's a "late" 99.

Do you have an intercooler? I'm pretty sure that early ones didn't, late ones did.

Early ones did have an intercooler for a fact. This much I know.The early ones id however have the OBS turbo on them.

I believe it is early. If it says v8 power stroke on the fender it is going to be early. Mine is a 99 bastard, early motor and late badge on door. I also have a passenger air bag cut off. The early trucks also don't illuminate the cruise light on the dash unless the computer is flashed.

Wish I had seen this. Had both a early 99 in the shop today could have taken pictures to show the differences! I'm usually a day late and dollar short!
