Gonna do an axleshaft u-joint job and wheelbearings on a work truck, its a d44. Nothing different than doing it on a 30 right? Unit hubs, outers, cs, everything looks the same just beefier so I'm pretty sure I'm good to go here. Thanks in advance just double checking there's no c-clips or anything ridiculous like that.

yep, it's all the same principle. don'y forget the CAD.

Good that you brought that up, my 30 is new enough that it isn't a CAD axle.

I understand it in concept, can't find any pics tho. Is it just a splined collar that discos one of the shafts from the spiders or something like that?

Thanks in advance, can't find any pics and I'm not sure if I'll have to open the diff to get the shaft out.

Think I've got it figured out, remove the shift motor from the axle housing and drain the oil? The collar & inner shaft are straightforward to get out?
