I'm looking at a 99 SD 5.4 Automatic with 230k miles for work is this too many miles for this setup? It's price low.

Mine has 279k on it. Still kicking along. A short list of repairs when I got the truck at 250k-ish :
engine had a bad miss, Coil Pack boots (removed, cleaned, dielectric? grease, then put some caulk around the boot and reinstalled)
new sway bar bushings
new upper and lower ball joints (moog)
replaced clutch on a/c pump
I love mine, would have opted for the diesel, but got this one for $1200
