99 XJ Door removal

Got a cousin that just bought a lifted 99 XJ but the driver side window's motor is burnt out. He wants to just take the doors off and make them to where they slide on and off like a TJ. I was told that the door pins on a 96 and older were different than the 97 and newer. Anyone know how this can be accomplished on a newer XJ? Links or pics would help. Thanks.

Just llokn threw archive I have a 01 XJ trying to get doors off of could I get this link u had? Iv done this to 3 other XJ's but thy where all older and easy to do, Any info apppreciated Thanx, Landon
