It's actually a product called Protekto Trim (made by Cowels I believe)... VERY Stinking hard to find anymore. It's 5/8" molding and the only place I've seen it is www.rocklizardfabrications.com and www.dpg.com

It's 29.00 for 30' which is more than enough to do the XJ's fenders. I just ordered a box from DPG b/c Rock Lizard was out and didnt know when he would be getting anymore. IT has 3M backing and Woodkrawler said it's extermely sticky (once it's on, it's on...)

I had all week off from work last week so i finally got to spend some time on the XJ, so here is the progress pics so far.

Specs:
RE 3.5" SF lift with rear springs and an extra OEM isolator up front
Dana 44 from 87 XJ
HD tie Rod
3.55s in the Dana 30 to match the 44
Rocklizard Monitor lizard Ft. Bumper
Rocklizard lower quarter guards
JCR Stage 1 sliders.
Trimmed fenders for 33s
"ultra star" 5.9L/60th anniversary 16x7 Jeep wheels
285/75/16 BFG AT KOs(thanks to Steve_Kibbie)

Waiting to install:
4.10s, Rigidco Rear bumper, hand throttle, hopefully lockers ft./rr.

Nice lookin' Jeep. I saw you up in the University area the other day...however, I think I was in my WJ or my DD so I would've been harder to find.

chris(uncc civilengineer) is our official Trim and Shock Technician....
 
i just had to test several different models and configurations until i found the perfect XJ!

Maybe you should have tested a different kind of vehicle...namly...a toyota. :lol:
 
I bet it would wheel better than a cherokee....:lol:
 
But nothing wheels better than an MJ:Rockon:
