YEsterday while trying to get everything ready for the Dixie Run, I accidently drove over my best, favorite coffee cup.
This was a special coffee cup that I have had for years! What made it special, is that 1, it has survived for so long, 2, it didn't leak when you tilted it to drink, and 3, it was an extension of my arm, and you'd know that if you have ever been around me LOL

Both Leslie and I have tried to find the same type cup, we used to be able to buy them at Ingles Super Market, but, they no longer carry that style. I had even made cup holders in my old Jeep to fit THAT cup.

Anyone have one they wanna donate?? LOL

Aladdin was the brand

Oh well, it could have been worse

The huge plastic ones? I think my dad has carried the same two coffee cups for the last 20 years.

recently happened to me, i have a travel coffee cup and a shop coffee cup. my shop cup is ceramic and have had it for years, what made it special was that it has survived for years (and a Duke cup). one day i set it to close to the edge of the bench, i went to grab something and barely bumped it............crash it went and i stood there paralyzed.
i called the wife in the front office and told her she had to go to the mall and find me another one or i was closing the shop to do it myself.

i like my new Duke cup.

My dad broke his into pieces once and glued it back together. Just a thought if it's in big enough pieces? But my dad's also known for super glueing his teeth back when they chip.:shaking:

look at the info on the bottom and plug that info in on ebay. I found my uncle some very hard to find insulated alladin mugs that way.

CHIP! I'm surprised that Leslie lets you park in the kitchen! Send me a pic or some dimensions, I've got a Aladdin mug but it will cost ya! Not sure if it's the same though.:>)

Chip, sorry for your loss.... as a heavy coffee drinker I fully understand the coffee - mug relationship that one develops over the years....

Terry I will get you one when I get back from the Dixie run,

Thanks guys, you all make ne feel a bit better
To be honest, I posted this as a joke, but I was really upset when I did it. It would not have been so bad ,...IF...............I had not already done the same thing to several other cups, thermos's, and a phone. Damn tires just make too good of a place to lay stuff!

A Bad Day ; No Coffee Here!

Hows my Luck? Few months back, I made 2 trips from home to Concord [40/45 min. ea. way], picking up a Certain Grand Cherokee [1st trip], & a Chrysler Town & Country. 1st trip ok, with being real careful of the wide wheels that had to squeeze in my trailer rails. Time I got the Van home, it was dark. Always park on a hill, where the trailer end is like 2" off the ground. Backed the Van off, & when the front wheels left the trailer, trailer raised up, catching the bumper cover! Ripped it 3/4 way off, & driving light went flying! Think that's funny? As I was picking up the pieces, I found my Cell phone, RUN OVER, that I unknowingly, dropped, while taking the rear chain off. YEP, every time I think I can make a Dollar, I lose 10-1 !:stupid:

I'd also suggest not placing items either on your tires or in your tires potential path.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm addicted to Diet Mountain Dew so the container means nothing to me and I simply toss it aside like Gene Simmons tossed women asiide in the 70s and 80s.

Coffee cups are kinda like dogs. You love them and never go anywhere without them. Unfortunately the lifespan of a coffee cup is never as long as a person. Eventually you must say good bye and as time passes and your heart heals, you will find another one to take the place (although you always remember the good ones).

My favorite coffee cup is which ever one is full of coffee.
and HOT!!! I stopped having a favorite a long time ago. I usually lose them. Only bad cup of coffee is one you spill or in some cases one I set down and forget till it's to cold to drink.

I have drank coffee out of about everything you can thinbk of - including a mason jar held with a rag and a measuring cup. As long as it gets the coffee in me I could care less what it comes in. Some mornings I am about half tempted to just bring the whole pot to my desk and drink straight out of it.

I have a "Favorite" cup also. It is about 10 years old, faded and one side is cracked where I left it outside at Uwharrie and it froze. The wife asked me why I still had it since it was so old. I told her SHE was old and wore out too but I still kept here. The doctor said the swelling will go down in a couple more days.
