So I got a 2000 Chevy 2500 W/T, it did not come equipped with a/c from the factory. My question is how involved and expensive would it be to put some a/c in there? I have access to a 98 Chevy that was wrecked, and has everything in there but I was told by a a/c guy it would be near impossible to get it to work?? Any advice would be great!

Just a matter of a lot of plumbing, I'm guessing it's the same as with Jeeps etc.
All the "holes" are there for items like the compressor, condensor, evaporator, etc etc.
Some things you will have to buy new (drier, probably some other things.
It might be harder to tie it in to the existing controls/cutoffs as I'm not sure which wires are tehre for high/low pressure sensors, but you could always simplify, and just have a toggle switch for it, and check the pressure to make sure you're not leaking on occasion.
Good luck.

Thanks for the info, the switches and etc. where my main concern. I think I'm going to try that toggle switch idea and see what happens! Thanks
