My BIL has a Dodge 1500. Whenever he stops his AC blows hot air. I'm not talking that it warms up a little, More along the lines like the Heater is on.
I did a quick search and found a diagnosis of a blown fuse for the Condesor Fan. makes sence so I checked it and the fuse was good. plugged it back in, checked the rest of the fuses and out of curiosity, fired up the truck. It blew cold air. He said it had never blown cold air on cold start like that. He shut it off and I could hear somekind of pressure leak down sound. I have no idea what it was coiming from, but it SOUNDED LIKE it was coming from the air filter box. Not sure if it has any bearing on the issue, but just thought I'd throw that out there.
Other thing is I rested my arm on the AC return line from the condensor and burned my arm. do those typically get that hot? I thought they were suppose to be cold, but then why would you need the condesor right?
He already tried charging the system, but it had full pressure according to the gauge on the DIY AC Charge system you get from the parts house.
Not sure if the fuse I pulled had a bad connection or not and re installing it fixed it temporarily, but anyone have thoughts on the hot AC line or the leak down noise I heard?
