How did you initially find him? Facebook? Do you know of any other online forums/groups where he is?

Found him on FB. So the while story goes I had stickies for my rig, friends rig was stolen before RBD and needed tires offered to buy mine with a few bucks on top so I sold mine. Came home from RBD and started to hunt tires with no luck and found 3 sets on FB talked to all of them with no luck. This guy messages me last asking what the other offers were and we settled on a price. Had a GA # but said he was in TN at the time. Talked to him on the phone once and sent the money, got 3PL info and was set. So tires show up and I was content, finally opened the pallet a few days ago to find they are bad. Then the hunt started and the interaction with PayPal.

PayPal is doing majority of the work but his name is Brandon Damotta from Dacula GA. He was in Chattanooga at the point and claimed to work at "Reds Rods" which was where he claimed the tires were shipping from originally, but I didn't notice the shipping difference until I had an issue (tires were sent from GA). I've found that "shop" was nothing more than a dead Facebook page. He's deleted his FB, doesn't answer email and his # was a Google voice #. Also after talking to another buddy tonight he's the same guy that contacted him right after I paid for my tires that shitted him on a trailer deal via Facebook market place and a PayPal deposit. Though he luckily didn't lose any money.

Keep in mind at this point you have assume that nothing told to you is true.
So what evidence do you have that he's from Dacula GA, or even that this is his name? Just what was on his FB account?
 
Good thing is @THE guyrock will get his money back.

This "Brandon Damotta from Dacula GA" skoad will have a cold plate full of justice served one day. Seems like sooner than later if he has ripped off two folks from here. His useless scamming self cannot help it... Cheaters get caught always, no matter how slick they think they are. He better hope he gets a cell next to Bernie instead of a healthy dose of street (or maybe trail) justice.
 
PayPal had his name as the same, I won't use a PayPal account if the names don't match. But 3PL had his name the same on the paperwork. Unfortunately for me they don't make him include anything more than his name and number on the shipping forms. Seems he had it figured out well before he did this, I haven't heard of him before though. Though I have a friend that shares the same last name they are not related I tried that route as well since it's not a common last name.

The Facebook group was southern off-road classifieds I believe, normal private group that someone had added me to a while back that I browsed here and there. I'd actually seen him list things in the past. And still in searching FB I can't find him again, I even made another profile looking for him and can't find his page. Though I did find a reds rods in TN again and messaged them to see if they know of him.

Dacula GA is close-ish to Atlanta.If you remember what else he had for sale you might look in ATL's CL and find him.Or since he mentioned Chattanooga do the same there.OR just post up what a pos he is on both sites.Too bad you don't have a good # for him you might could find him a new friend w benefits in the casual encounters section.

Last time someone screwed any of us over I lost a few hundred in a deal and ended up knocking the guy out in sidewinder at gulches back before I was a ranger. Haha that made 2, but I got knocked out a week later wrestling with Chris when we fell down little devil. So the park ghosts have humor. Hopefully they will condem this assfaces soul for this mess.

Still looking for 43's for the Jan 27th ride. Spoke with goforth and he said he'd help find me a good used set of stickies. Hopefully he'll come through soon or I get my money back soon and I'll go buy a new set.

So small update, Brandon showed up on and sale thread for a set of wheels/tires on FB for his truck. Best I can figure is he has either blocked me from FB or turns his profile on and off. I messaged the person he was asking about the wheels if he could help me out but have yet to hear back.

PayPal still hasn't put the money back but I assume that will take forever to happen. However Chris has some treps in GA Im hoping to go get Friday so I can wheel again soon.

When he turns his profile off his comments go away. We're watching for him now constantly to get a screenshot so I can post it on all the forums that this is on and on FB.
