A friend if a friend needs some help near URE

A friend of a friend posted up on Facebook that he is in need of some welding help near URE. He has had an upper link mount break and he is 100 miles from home and doesn't trust driving himself and the kids that far with it the way it is. If anyone is around there and has (or has access to) a welder, let me know and I can pass along his phone number. He is not stranded right now, but needs to be home by tomorrow evening.

I've rented a welder from the outpost a couple years ago $10 iirc

Glad you got him taken care of, I have never met him but we have a mutual friend, glad he made it home safely.

I helped wire up a couple of batteries to weld a spring mount back on one time. Two batteries, two sets of jumper cables, and two pair of sunglasses later, we were back to wheeling. The only thing I couldn't figure out is why we even had welding rods on the trail in the first place.
