New to the Raleigh area, new to the "Jeep" world. Ready to get out and see what this light, agile piece of machinery can handle.

I spent several years in the Xterra community, lugging a 2Ton barely lift-able SUV around crazy rock obstacles and trails on the west coast, enjoying Oregon, and Washington ORV trails. Ventured "home" to Ohio for a while, now found myself enjoying the hell out of North Carolina. Picked up a JK, slapped some 32s on it, and ready to enjoy what I did so much enjoy out west... nature... mud... rocks... comradery... beer... bourbon... and people who know how to live.

I've found one thing true in life, when you don't know anyone... go to the place you know you'll find like minded people... and there you shall have fun. And from what I've read in this forum... y'all look like some entertaining souls. Although I'm concerned about this Hot Dog Man character already....

So cheers!
Ben

Welcome to NC! Welcome to NC4X4! Come to the swap meet at ECGS on the 26th and enjoy the best dog in the parking lot! Can't hardly wait to get to Raliegh! Astoria Or. is fantastic, have you been?

Thanks.

Oh yeah, I've been up and down the PNW coast... my favorite spots were central OR and WA though. Wheeling in Yakima, Naches, and Rainer areas were always breath taking views.

I'll have to come check that out... I have a set of stock 16" wheels/tires taking up space in the garage.

 Any time, love some Truckers...

We've got friends in the Canby/Molalla area and had a good time (that almost ended badly) in Tillamook a while back... mostly we just meet up with them in Johnson Valley, Moab, or on the Rubicon.

Thanks Mike.

Since I'm new to the area... my social circle is quite minimal. I'm always loving me some outdoor pubs, good brews, and random chatter. Don't mind helping turn some wrenches for that matter... put my 2" Teraflex budget boost on this morning in under 2 hours. Made me remember how much fun and frustrating it can be.

I'm also a guitar player, and always looking for jam sessions.

Cheers!
Ben

Although I'm concerned about this Hot Dog Man character already....

...be very, very careful. I've known that critter for more than a few months. He IS unique!

Seems to be a lot of damned yankees down here, and I thought Florida was home to all of them? :) It's definitely more pleasant, even the Ohioans I meet here are nicer than the Ohioans in Ohio.

Thanks for all the hearty hellos... I definitely plan on checking out the swap meet.

N.C. is where a half a tank will get ya!
