A.T.A.C.4X4 [all terrains all conditions] is a small group of family and friends who enjoy 4-wheeling.On our last trip to Mt.City,we befriended a group of young atv riders. They followed us for the better part of a day watching us do the harder obsticles. We had given them some stickers with our logo.I have recently found out our name has been "tagged" at the welder trail. We at ATAC do not encourage or support any actions that would be harmful to the offroad community. We are sorry for what has happened but please understand we cannot control what other people do.Being responsible wheelers,we will be going back soon to clean up whatever damage was done. Please don't let this be a reflection of what our club is all about. Thanks,Dalton Griffin

Dude, the bad part is. It is your guys name. The best thing to do is go now and get it off the rock.

So what you're saying is you met a group of guys that on ATV's out at Calle and they were amazed by your rigs and what they could do. Then they spray paint your logo all over Welder because they idolize you or something? From watching the videos and if they've been riding at Calle for any amount of time then I know they've seen less capable looking rigs make it over Welder. Why would they be amazed by your rigs, because you gave them stickers? Why would they just happen to have spray paint with them on a ATV? Or did they ride somewhere to buy some and come all the way back just to spray paint your logo? I may be wrong in all this but to me it just doesn't add up. I've been around the wheeling community around here for a while and this is the first time I have heard ATAC. Not a good first impression. Might want to try Blazeproc's advice and get rid of it before any more people see it.

:gay:

Blame it on the random ATV drivers you found...not the drunk ass dude who found the spray can that he lost 5 years ago in the bottom of his rig's tool box and proceeded to spray paint a rock before you guys could stop him.

LOL this is great... I'd blame it on an illusive BIG FOOT creature who just happened to be observing... saw your ATAC logo (knowing no written language)... and found an old can of spray paint and decided to paint his new logo all over everything... those stinking Big Foot's...

I've been to Callalantee ALOT.. no tagging what-so-ever... until you guys decide to take your amazing rigs up there... I just guess the ATV riders were just soooooooooooo amazed they decided to make ATAC "OWN" that rock...

Fishy... I think so....

Personally, it seems very plausible to me. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and take their word for it since this is not an on going problem but more of a first offense thing. I will reserve final judgement pending their removal, as promised, of the tagging.

BTW, Dalton, please don't let the posts of some of our young friends be a reflection of what our forum is all about ;)

yea i noticed all that ugly ass spray paint on welder two weeks ago. i had to think to myself-wtf- don't this look good for the 4 wheel drive comunity. i'd think that people would have more respect for a good ride spot. i mean other than trail markers there ain't no other grafitti (sp) around the place.
boy them atvs riders musta been mightly impressed. sad that ya'll have to put the blame
somewhere else. man up and admit to the crime, go back and clean the shit up.
the 4 wheel community will respect your club a lot more if it was handled this way.
in the future lets not do stupid high school stuff like painting rocks. save your paint
for the local grocery store wall.

I might not make friends by saying this but most of the replys here are coming from guys that don't even belong to a club according to their profile so they don't even understand the purpose of clubs. Granted there is a bad egg every once in a while for the most part clubs are set up to show responsibility in the 4x4 community. Reguardless who "tagged" welder A.T.A.C. has explained the situation and said they were going to clean it up asap in order to clear their name. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

I am new to America... what is this "club" thing you speak of? Come on now that comment is about ridiculous...

They spoke their piece, let's let sleeping dogs lie for now, ATAC, we would love to hear back from you as the damage is cleared up, thanks

--for the rest of us / I am gonna lock this thread so it can die a peaceful death. If we need to re-explore this in a month or so, lets do so then.
