Bought a set of 15x10r wheels(8 on 6.5) with 2 3/4" bs. From what I have been able to find, the R stands for reverse. Also have a set of weld on beadlocks. After doing some reseach on installation I ran across (more than once) disclamers that say on "some" reverse style wheels, the beadlock kits will not work. Has anyone heard or ran into this? Is there a way to tell if they will or won't work before I weld them up?

yeah, many of your ~2" BS wheels are reversed... I read some where that you might be able to pull the tire over the lip for a beadlock if the center diameter is less that 12.75"...

some people have been able to do with with reversed wheels and some not, because the outer lip on the wheel is taller then a normal outer lip...

This may be a dumb question, but where does the 12 3/4" center come from? The wheel is 15". wouldn't it be the face of the wheel where the tire goes over that would be the critical dimension? Thanks

think of how you weld in new centers into H1 beadlocks? now measure that dimension on your wheel. the rim is essentially 2 pieces, the ring and the center... the diamter of the center is the critical dimension.... I think it has to do with the amount of wiggle room you have in the wheel to try and squeeze the bead over...

Thanks Ben. I see now  Might know mine won't work! Hope 4wheelparts will take them back. I guess that is par for the course trying to take a short cut.
Again, thanks

haha yeha, i know what you mean... i have a set with the rings welded on... but the taller lip is extremely hard to bust a bead they say.... you could always sell the weld-ons and get you a set of stauns...
