? About buying Car

My wife found A Van like she wants on Craigs List. The price is low and the owner said they need to sell it fast because they have lost there job and need the money but they only want to do the deal through eBay's Buyer Protection Program. Has anyone ever used this service?
 
Cash, in person, car (van) present.....the only way to deal.

Too many ass-wipes trying to steal your money these days via the inter-scam.
 
The Location is Charlotte so I e-mailed them and said I would like to take a look at it.

Furthermore, eBay doesn't have an escrow payment service or "protection" service for cars not sold through eBay. When you send your money to the "protected" payment service, it goes directly to the scammer's account. Say goodbye to your money because it's the last you'll see of it. And, of course, you'll never see the car.

That right there is enough to make me run, not walk, away from this.
