? about uwharie this sunday

Me and the lady freind are wanting to head over to uwharie sunday to watch the rigs.... Unfortuanatly the jeep is with out tag. So my question is where is the best place to park to walk out and watch the rigs? Are there any hiking trails thru the area?
 
There are hiking trails at URE. Also it is not required that you have tags to be on the trails. My xj does not have tags, I tow it to the double parking lot and drive the xj from there.
 
x2 the only thing they crack down on is crossing or driving down "state maintained road"
 
gotta have a tag to get there lol, no tow rig. so if i find my way to the double parking lot i can find some trails there? or just follow the rigs lol
 
Parking at the double parking lot, you'll be at Rocky Mountain Loop. It's pretty much the middle of everything. Your best bet is to head up to Kodak. There's plenty of room for spectating there and there's usually a good amount of people there.

Stop in and see the cleanup crew (Friends of Uwharrie) on Saturday and I'm sure they'll give you a ride around if you help clean up a bit. :)

if we make it up saturday just may do that. might have the dogs with us so maybe no ride but still willing to help out :)
 
I know of several people going on saturday, myself included. I was going to post last night. Didn't get out of the shop till 1:30 AM!
