Anyone use the HF 100lb sandblaster pressure pot? I am thinking about getting one to do some areas of my CJ5 that I can't get to with a wire wheel. So probably not a huge amount of area to blast. I see it recommends against using sand. Was wondering if anyone actually uses the play sand in one of these or if that will be a problem. If not, any suggestions on what to use and where in the Burlington to Durham vicinity i can get the appropriate material to use? I was hoping to just use the cheap sand from Lowe's or Home Depot.

Thanks for any advice!

I've used play sand, just run it through something to sift out the rocks. Not very big, but big enough to clog the orifice on the gun. Use a mask too. Sand is a carcinogen when airborne like that.

great, I'll give it a whirl. Not a huge investment eitherway I guess. I saw TSC has what appear to be a couple grades of coal fines. One is black beauty I think and the other garnet. Could get costly without too much effort using those it seems.

I also used play sand. Used a window screen to sift out the big stuff. If you don't, you will spend hours uncloggin it. I have actually used it in the driveway on a dry day, swept it up, re-sifted and used again.
