I want to make my xl truck look not so xl.

Already have done the 04 headlights, towing mirrors, working on bumpers and wheels.

I have this truck(ish):

I was thinking something like this:

never seen that done on a super duty (there's probably a reason.)

Thinking a vinyl wrap. Any DIYers have done that?

I'd say you've got it right with headlights, bumpers and mirrors! I'd move on to the wheels and grille next (and tires, the dinky base model tires look tiny and cheap), those will make a more upscale look than copying a paint scheme, IMHO. (I could be biased though, only 98 and older Fords, 93 and older Dodges, and 91 and older GMs look right in two tone to me)
