Adapting F100 Driveshafts to 60/14 bolt

well first are the driveshafts long enough?

then what size are they? prob 1310-1330, maybe 1350

what size are the yokes on the axles.... prob 1350-1410

So depending on the differences in yokes, you can get by with offset u-joiunts to fit 2 diff sizes, but id recommend gettin the yokes to match up with the largest sizes you can

Ricky, I run a bastard joint on mine. I went to Napa told them what the original drive shaft was out of, and what I was mating it to. And they give me a joint that works

Yea I tried that with the adavance and autozone and they were like we have to know what vehicle it came out of, They shafts are in Mooresville so I might can get my little bro to take some measurements

I know that the rear u joint was the perfect width for the 14 bolt yoke the caps just werent big enough in diameter to fill out the space to fit right

The front ujoint was too small width wise and cap diameterwise.

Your 14 bolt is most likely a 1350 U-joint, and your F100 rear driveshaft is most likely a 1330. You need a 1330/1350 conversion joint. I think the Spicer p/n is 5-648x. I've got a spare in my glovebox and can confirm tonight. This is the same set up I have in my truck.

Your front driveshaft might be a 1310, and the yoke on the D60 is most likely a 1330.

I use to have a chart showing the dimensions of the most common u-joints. I'll see if I can find it.

If you go to advance once you figure out what size your yokes are, they usually have what is called a "conversion" joint on the shelf. If they give you that dumb look, ask to see their u-joint book. In the back of the book it shows the dimensions of all the u-joints cross referenced to part numbers. In this section there is also listed the conversion u-joints. Remember, those parts monkeys don't really know alot about vehicles, they only know how to look stuff up in the computer. Every once in a while you will come across one that knows what they are talking about. My recommendation is if you find one of them, insist on dealing with only him in the future. Good luck!!

HAHA you are soo right.... i try to get some of my collegues to flip open the catalog, cuz i LOVE them haha

Ricky i did some lookin through the books tnite, cant say for sure what your axle yokes are but hte driveshafts are most likely 1310. here are the sizes for u-joints:

1310 - Length: 3.219", Diameter: 1.063"
1330 - Length: 3.622", Diameter: 1.063"
1350 - Length: 3.622", Diameter: 1.188"
1410 - Length: 4.19", Diameter: 1.188"

Below are the Neapco part numbers for the conversion joints:

1310-1330: 1-0134
1310-1350: 3-3140
1330-1350: 2-3050

Dunno if these numbers will help, and id probly go for a spicer joint. Also I Couldnt find any 1410 conversion joints but i can look if theres any other combo anyone might want....

That's some VERY helpfull info, paradise! Thanx. I needed that for my own project. Thanx.

OK looking back at this id try to say that both axles are 1350, your rear driveshaft was a 1330 and hte front driveshaft is a 1310... but then again without seeing them i could be wrong
