A good speech overall; we'll have to check back in a couple years and see what it's looking like. Definitely his best speech to-date.

Wish I heard more about rural America than urban America, but he's gotta please the whiny crow first.

Hopefully it'll mean a slightly heavier wallet, and maybe a free Harley :wheel:

Thoughts?

He always sounds soooo much better when he sticks to the script that was pre-written (for him).
It's when he starts just talking off the cuff that everything goes sideways.

The part I heard on the radio while driving and the last 10 mins. on TV when I got home sounded pretty damn good to me and way better than most of the stuttering speech, finger shaking, dramatic pausing, bullshit smiling, asshole ever gave in the last 8 yrs.

The look on Nancy Pelosi's face was priceless.

The people who had lost family to criminal illegals was powerful as was the wife of the Navy Chief killed in action.

Good speech but the libtards were howling this morning.

There are some mixed feelings about capitalizing on the KIAs loss. I'm 100% in favor of honor and applause, but it does rub a little wrong if used as an excuse to push an agenda. He did it very well but I can see how some feel it wasn't the right time.

When is the right time? No matter what he said or did, it would be perceived as wrong in some eyes. Say nothing, and you are portrayed as a cold S.O.B. Wait too long and people are like, "Who is he talking about?" Obviously any mission where we lose a soldier is a bad thing, but he of all people (a Navy SEAL) understood the risks he takes every time he laces up his boots. Trump has already reached out to the family in person, which was declined and then via his family. Hell of a lot more than Obama would have done. Well, unless the killed in action was a 13 year old boy shot by the police for waiving a gun around a park.
