Finally got started on building a stronger rear axle for the rear end of my WJ. I've got a big bearing 31 spline 9. I'm going to be running 4.56's and a Detroit locker. Last week I started welding on brackets that I got from Ballistic. I set the pinion angle at 15* and the spring perches at 0*.

I'm currently running a kinda "1/2 long arm" setup in the rear with long lowers and the OEM upper a-arm. I'm keeping this setup for now. The next step is building the upper arm mount. I'm planning on using 2 pieces of 4x2 c-channel (red lines) and 3/8" plate across the top (blue line). The a-arm joint, basically a large ball joint will bolt down to the top plate.

Here's what I've come up with so far using a 4-link calculator.

Any advice/critiques are welcome. This is my first rear axle build so I'm still learning...Thanks
