seen some factory ones fail recently. Thinking about putting some after market ones on my wish list.
So which brand?
best prices and from where?
4, 5 or 6 bolts for high steer arms?

I have 4 stud Reid racing on the front and rear of mine. For cost effectiveness I wouldn't hesitate to run plated knuckles again.

The keyed Solids are on my list. Those can be had for $425-460 a pair and I don't recall ever seeing one breaking.

I had a thread a few months ago about this very subject.

I think the Solid knuckles were my favorites. $450/pair was fair and had a nice keyway for the steering arms.

We sell Solid's, great group of guys, do what they say their gonna do and ship quick (from Ohio). If you need a quote shoot me a PM. Thanks.

It really about money. Rieds are damn good and you dont need to buy new highsteer arms. These would serve you fine, Chip. Solids are damn good! I think Cranes are the best until you go to the fabricated knuckles. Then $$$!!

Not to hijack, but I it sounds like you are talking kingpin knuckles. What about ball joint types?

I thought the bj stupid duty knuckles were pretty much bombproof in stock form. I have stared at a SD 60 and a kingpin 60 side by side and the size comparison is very much on side with the bj knuckles.
There's an excellent thread on pirate about the SD 60s that has me seriously rethinking my next front axle project.

Chip, If you want to go Solid knuckles (my personal favorite) and arms let me know and I can get you a price.

For the guy interested in aftermarket BJ knuckles.....The Solid BJ 60 knuckles are not meant to work with the stock calipers (just and FYI, they can be made to work but it takes some effort) so you have to convert to the 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton chevy calipers and associated parts.
