There is no way their gigantic balls fit through that tiny window.

A massive manhunt is under way for two bank robbers who pulled off a daring escape from downtown Chicago's high-rise jail Tuesday by apparently squeezing through a narrow window and scaling down about 20 stories using a makeshift rope.

Hours after the escape, a rope possibly made of bed sheets could be seen dangling down the side of the Metropolitan Correctional Center. At least 200 feet long and knotted about every 6 feet, the rope was hanging from a window that was 6 feet tall but only 6 inches in diameter.

6 inches? Holy shit. Musta been skinny fellas.

And you gotta love Chicago, where even the jail is a trendy triangular structure.

hm here's some fun math
200 ft drop. Typical sheet is 8', you'd be lucky to have 6' between knots.
That's at least 34 bedsheets they tied together.

Where the fuck does a pair of inmates get, and store, 34 sheets w/o anybody noticing?

...although I bet if you secured some scissors or knife you could get 4-5 strips per sheet...

taken from the article:
"The facility is one of the only skyscraper lockups in the world, and experts say its triangular shape was meant to make it easier to guard, theoretically reducing blind spots for guards. The only other escape from the nearly 40-year-old facility occurred in the mid-1980s"

Diameter is the measurement across a circle, I think they mean the windows were 6" wide. It looks in the pic like they chisled out the concrete at the bottom of the window to make a hole larger than 6" wide. What do jails need windows for anyway??

I thought the same thing. A 6" diameter rectangle?

I think the windows are for health reasons, the inmates would get sick if they were not exposed to light all day long. Most prisons have them high enough that they can't see out, it is purely for lighting the prison and giving some health benefit to the inmates. More natural light = less money spent on lighting and healthcare.

Yep.
And although there's no reason for prison to be "comfy", you don't want ALL inmates to be crazy when they get out. Which complete daylight isolation will do.

If they are in for life, put them down. Quit waisting tax money on these fools.
I bet these guys didnt have much to loose with a 200ft drop. Should have greased the rope for them. Of give them cum filled bed sheets hahaha

Then they would have been sticky and easier to hang on to!

Yeah, we were all 13 once, you know what I mean!
