Who has used what, and what would you recommend?

Looking to put an aftermarket tbi setup on a sbc that is in a 55 Chevy truck. Not a fan of frame mounted pumps, and would love to go to a return less system, but that isn't a deal breaker.

Nothing wild here, it is a 70's Corvette 350... anything suited for more than 400hp would be overkill.

Out of all the systems that are out there now, fitech is at the bottom as far as both product and support. I would recommend holley sniper or f.a.s.t. also while they will work returnless, i'd always recommend a return and in tank pump. Holley probably sells an in tank setup for your factory fuel tank.

Sniper with a good tune and you're golden.
There are better systems out there, but the value for the money is unmatched.

Don't beleive the marketing BS, they aren't "self-tuning".

I took a fitech off, threw it away, bought a new tank and went back to carb. If hat tells you anything.

Im going back to efi this summer and going sniper. Its bought and here but not installed ....yet so I cant offer a review.

This is half of why fitech sucks, when it doesn't run for shit their literature and tech support is on par with "might as well have bought from china, better hope someone on an internet forum can figure it out for you"

I have installed several of both… Holley has the same issues. They do have better support for sure. That being said, seeing my new terminator harness makes me sick to the stomach. Cheapest

Ive had zero issues with all of mine. My Holley on the other hand is a finicky bitch. Of course most people can’t understand efi will not cure engine problems and vacuum leaks. It will only magnify them. I have fixed several of both after being asked to fine tune them. All of which was timing, vacuum or shitty wiring issues.

My vote gets Aeromotive, FAST, Howell or Quick Fuel (Holley but better). Left too much power on the table or too many RFI issues on Dyno days to ever recommend FiTech or Holley Sniper…not to mention failed sensors and injectors. Can’t tell you how many builds we had where we cringed when fitech or sniper was requested because ‘it’s just as good’…then left the shop with a carb with more power, more responsiveness and better efficiency. Would usually come back a few months later after some cash was squirreled away to get one of the other systems I mentioned put on.
