ok so i just sold my stock chevy rims what aftermarket rims for a 8x6.5 have the most offset i want -47 or more offset 16" to 18" and want the size rims that have the most E rated tires and was leaning more to 17" rims. and is for a 2000 chevy 2500 suburban. let me hear your opinion

I love H2 rims. They're pretty easy to find and look awesome on 2500 HDs and Suburbans. I like that they're a factory rim, easy to keep clean, no need for fancy lug nuts, you can use the factory center caps, no need for stick on balance weights, and they're 17x8.5.

i don't care for H2 rims i am wanting to go with some gloss black rims

Paint or powder coat can fix any wheel.

Not sure about offsets, I'm guessing on a 17 x 9, 4.5" back spacing is 0 offset.

So -47mm would be a 1.85", putting the back spacing at 2.65",
Or
Would it increase the back spacing to 6.35"?

Why don't you find the wheels you like, and then run a wheel spacer to get the look you desire?

My concern with wide wheels on the front of IFS with low back spacing will increase your scrub radius and increase effort to steer. It will also wear out tie rod ends, ball joints, and unit bearings much faster.

As well you will most likely have to run a smaller tire on your suburban than on factory type wheels due to the tire getting much closer to the front and back of the fender opening while turning.

This means more lift to run the same size tire.

Any tire larger than 265 on a 6.0 with 3.73s will definitely hurt the performance towing.

If running 4.10s, even 285's are a stretch with the 6.0.

The best combo for towing with the 6.0 by far is 4.10s and 245's. This puts the engine in it's sweet spot at 65-70mph.

With 265's and 3.73's the sweet spot for towing is above 72 mph.
Same for 285's and 4.10s.

I don't like towing in the 75 mph range personally. Drinks fuel and just don't like going that fast with a load.

Not meant to hijack but just giving you a heads up with the nature of towing with a 6.0, and putting bigger tires and wheels without re-gearing.
