Air bag light started coming on occasionally a week ago. Now for the past few days, it is on every time we run the vehicle. Is there anything I can check myself, or do I need to take it somewhere?

Need a code reader for that. Nothing to jump to get codes.

See if the horn has stopped working also. Most Chrysler products with Airbag problems have a bad clock spring and the horn wiring is in the same part. The clock spring is a coiled wire that is inside a plastic housing right behind the steering wheel. It is easy to change if you have a puller.

Hurry up and get your replacement part before they go out of business. The previous Home Depot CEO is now in charge of Chrysler with a pay from performance deal.
