So the pump on my air compressor is starting to make an awful noise, and won't get above 60PSI anymore. At least I think its called the pump (the thing on the left). Can I just get any old pump like Powermate 040-0354RP 3.7-HP Single-Stage Inline-Twin Replacement Air Compressor Pump 13.4 CFM @ 40 PSI ? Or do I need to get a more expensive pump like Industrial Air 040-0444RP 5-HP 2-Stage Inline-Twin Replacement Air Compressor Pump 17 CFM @ 100 PSI which basically makes it not worth it to fix and I'd just go buy a new one like Husky 60 Gal. Wait a minute I might have one that’ll work.

You can have it. I’m tired of stepping around it in the shop. The tanks got pin holes in it, pump and motor are working.
Edit Just saw yours is 230v. Mines only 120 so probably to small.

I also have one that I'm tired of stepping around. If you can use it you can have it. Sorry for the potato pic, camera lens is shattered.

I know it might sound crazy, but id get a pump from HF. They are all cast iron, and I know a number of folks that have had good results with them.

3 HP 145 PSI Cast Iron Twin Cylinder Air Compressor Pump

5 HP 145 PSI Twin Cylinder Air Compressor Pump

As far as size, I think it really depends on how much air flow you need in your shop.

It’s just my house so I don’t need a huge one. But for that price I’ll stick with a 5.

I appreciate the offers on the other ones but they look like they maybe hard to adapt

It may be something simple like the reeds or valve, whatever they use. Worth pulling the head & checking!
If it is alum head And the gasket is blown, the head is likely warped.
