Sorry for the newb questions but...I just picked up a used air compressor and have a few questions for you guys. Its an oil filled, 220v Sanborn compressor.

1) How often does the oil need to be changed?
2) How often should the tank be drained.
3) If I'm only using it one or two weekend per month, should I keep it pressurized or let all of the air out when I'm finished using it?

1 If you can't remember how many years ago it was changed , it's time
2. Every 3 or 4 months unless water comes out with air.
3.Leave the pressure in, you paid for it.

i change mine every six months (but mine is used 12hrs a day min) once a year is usually fine
tank should be drained frequently,if your only using it on weekends i would drain it after you use it. the condensation inside the tank will always be present, you want to drain it so the water doesn't lay in the tank.
i always put a shut off valve on the compressor(before the air lines) and shut it off every night, so if an air line were to blow overnight my compressor wouldn't run until i discover it.
