I bought an Airaid intake system for my wife's 2008 JK Sahara. Step 1 of the manufacturer's instructions says, "Very Carefully remove the temperature sensor from the factory intake tube by using a small circular motion while pulling it straight out. WARNING! Electrical connector and sensor are very fragile. USE CAUTION!

I can't get the sensor out of the tube. I've tried rotating it while pulling it and the sensor won't budge. In fact, the sidewall of the tube flexes as I try to pull the sensor from the boss. I was afraid I might break it so I tried calling AutoZone and Advance to see if they had one in case I broke the original sensor. Both stores told me because its a 2008, there are no aftermarket sensors available yet and I have to go back to the dealer to get it.

Anybody but an Airaid intake on a 2008 JK? How'd you get the sensor out of the tube?

Thanks.

IMO take it back and buy something else that is worth it....they dont add but maybe 2-3HP and maybe 1 mpg. Also depending on how it is designed it could suck in water a lot easier then the stock airbox.

Might get 1/10 of a HP. Just bolt up the stock stuff especially if its the wifey's. Plus, most of those filters on those things let in alot more dirt. How many of you guys have seen the intake tube dirty when changing the filters?

I went back to stock on everything but my DD pavement pounder when it came to air filters.
