I used to run 7 psi regularly on a Wrangler with that tire/rim combo. Gonna depend on several factors as to how low you might be able to go without problems, including the weight of the vehicle, terrain, driving style, speed, etc.
good info above. Be sure to air up if you're not trailering home. If I didnt have air available, I wouldnt go much lower than 18psi or so.
A good way to eyeball it is to watch the sidewall start bulging as you air down. There is lots of traction to be gained going from 20 to 10psi.
yea im goin to callentee this weekend. last time i went with bald 35 bfgs and didnt air dwon. never do that again. i dont have on board air and i dont trailer home, ill put air back in it when i get to that gas station right next to it. thanks for the info guys
I run 7-8 PSI with that wheel and tire combo. But it is also as Jc sa[d you need to base your air pressure on the conmditions you are wanting to wheel in. 7-8 PSI works great for rocks but it will not work as well in mud because it limit the tires ability to self clean.
