Is there such a thing as a 1 wire self regulating alternator for Chevy? Just picked up a Willys with some sort of chevy V8, but it has a seperate regulator and I want this as simple as possible.

Was this ever in a stock vehicle? Sounds weird that is just comes on over a certain rpm.

Especially 1and 2 3 is pretty basic.
This is a guy I have done a lot of business with(very little on his products), he says a lot simply and makes it easier to grasp than I would if I wasted 3 pages ::

Forget the one wire conversion, It's real easy to do a proper setup. i've got a couple links bookmarked that have good info and wiring diagrams. I ended up putting a 140 AMP alt from a minivan into my '66.

I don't know what you've got, but there's a section on electrical including both 12v conversion & using alternators. I'm still running the stock 6v system on my '54 CJ3B.
