Alum rad for YJ V8 conversion

I know they make a direct bolt in radiator but Im not willin to spend $500 to get one.Summit has some generic alum rads and two or three of em look like they will work.Who has used one for a YJ V8 conversion and which did one you use???

I've been looking for one for my YJ/4bt swap. I found a bunch of them on Ebay, many of them made in america for $189.00 -$300.00. A lot of them came with electric fans as well. 3 rows, Some good for 800+hp, Some even have a lifetime warranty. I haven't bought one yet but probably will. If ya buy one let me know what kind of quality your lookin at. Good luck!

They have em on ebay w the alum shrouds and elec fans for less than $370.That'll be the way I'll go.Thanks for the tip.

I just bought one off Ebay. Alumn double pass. Very nice construction, excellent packaging, and quick shipping. Then I bought a 16" elect fan kit. It is working great.

I assume by your sig you used a Howell harness??? Are you runnig a VSS and what brand/kind of motor mounts did you use??

well I thought I just posted this?? but here goes again.... I used a complete Howell TBI system as that was what I was running on my AMC 360 before I swapped engines. The 350 has basically the same specs (RV cam, performer intake, HEI distributor, headers) so it works out well. As for the motor mounts, I used Advance Adapters weld in frame mounts and made the motor mounts out of DOM and bushing kits. There are pics in my build thread.

Hey 89Wrangler, what did you order that ya wound up with your inlet and outlet on the same side? I would like a bolt in for a YJ but my 4bt has both inlet and out on the right. Do ya remember who ya bought it from ? Thanks
