Anyone know where to get aluminum rims reconditioned/polished in Raleigh or Fayetteville?

I have some vintage mag slots that I need done.

Thanks

Not locally but I have run across, some time ago, a wheel reconditioner out of state. The were high priced in my opinion plus the shipping ruled them out for further consideration.

I have fixed and buffed my own and then sealed them with a clear lacquer sealer. Looks great and still doing well 6 years later.

There is a place in Garner called the Wheel Exchange, they do their own wheels ( or at least did ) they specialize in Euro trash wheels, but might do a custom order.

I have replaced the wheels on my Honda thru them once before, direct swap was $125 each, and they seem to be holding up well 4years later. Call em and ask, worse they can say is no.

there is an aluminum wheel specialist in Charlotte near the speedway.. cant remember the name but they do repairs, reconditions.. that sort of thing.

There is a guy in Cary doing it. He go mostly around to the dealerships and has a mobil truck/trailer outfit. Next time I see the truck I'll stop and get his information.

yea dave i work on wheels. unforunately i dont think i am of any help to him. i fix alloy and painted wheels and clear coats.
and am in winston-salem.

I've delt with the wheel exchange also, I'm sure he's got a wheel that'l fit, but he'll just exchange it and charge you a discounted price.

I have heard "Muthers" (sp?) paste and a buff wheel works pretty good to bring back the Al wheels. Not sure how much elbow grease was added but I saw some nice results somewhere. Maybe save a few $.
