Cracked an aluminum wheel, what are my options? Can it just be TIGed up and still be safe? As of now, it will not hold air, slowly leaks out over several days. Anyone know of anyone in the Central NC area that does this kind of work? I don't mind driving for good work

@MarsFab probably hook you up. I think I remember @Ron saying he had a wheel fixed by him in killer weld thread.

Chris did repair a rim for my wife's old car.

Another time I had another wheel on the same car "professionally repaired" (cant remember why, maybe Chris was backed up or on vacation etc.) but I took it to rim guard xtreme in Charlotte. Was skeptical because their website reeked of spam. But they came highly recommended by a friend...and I must say they did awesome work.

They even have close location/partners to you.

The way they work is it is largely a mobile business. Their HQ is in Charlotte so i was able to walk in but they also have 3 or 4 mobile trucks set up and they do weekly stops all over the SE.
They are fairly reasonable (Mars was cheaper), their welds weren't near as pretty, but at the time they knocked it out quick and it held up until I sold the car.

I broke a section out of an aluminum wheel while at Choccolocco Moutain, I retrieved the section, and the park owner (Trey) welded it back in. It held air until I broke it down for bead locks.
